Andrew Schmidt, Bass-baritone, is excited to return to The Thirteen for their 2020-2021 season. He hails from Atlanta, GA where he teaches music education to Gifted and Talented students at the Midtown International School. As an educator, Andrew maintains a large private studio and will be earning his Estill Level 1 and 2 pedagogical certifications this fall. A frequent ensemble singer, Andrew has had the privilege of partnering with organizations such as The Crossing, Kinnara, The Esoterics, and is a staff singer at both Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, GA and Glenn Memorial Church, GA. Andrew is currently the music director of the Summer Singers of Atlanta, and the founding Artistic Director of Earlybird, Atlanta's professional early-modern chamber ensemble. When he's not working, Andrew can be found walking his dog, Atticus, alongside his husband and fellow singer Cory Klose.
