Christopher Talbot

Praised for his voice of “warmth and strength” (Classical Review), Bass-Baritone Christopher Talbot is a sought-after soloist and ensemble singer at home in a wide variety of styles and musical eras. Recent appearances include a coveted spot in the International Bachakademie masterclass in Stuttgart, Germany, Haydn’s Die Shöpfung with Dartmouth College, Bach’s Mass in B Minor with Upper Valley Baroque, Handel’s Messiah with Seraphic Fire, recording music of Josquin with Cut Circle, and a vocal fellowship with Bachakademie Charlotte. Christopher received his M.M. from the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, where his teachers included tenor James Taylor and mezzo-soprano Bernarda Fink. A native of Massachusetts, Chris began singing at age 8 as a treble in the choirs of All Saints, Worcester, and currently lives in Philadelphia, PA.
