Rachel Doehring Jackson

Soprano Rachel Doehring Jackson has been praised as “human and celestial—personal, plaintive, and immediate” (New York Classical Review). Her recent solo credits include the New York premiere of Tania León’s In the Field with pianist Han Chen and the Bergamot Quartet, Bach’s St. John Passion with the Berkshire Bach Society, and David Lang’s The National Anthems on America’s 250th anniversary celebration at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Jackson toured internationally in the ensemble of The English Concert’s 2026 production of Handel’s Hercules under the baton of Harry Bicket, and she regularly performs with the country’s finest choirs including the GRAMMY-nominated Clarion Choir, Voices of Ascension, Musica Sacra, and many others. Jackson was a Finalist at the 2026 National Oratorio Competition, a Semifinalist in the 2025 International Joy in Singing Competition, and was one of four prize winners at the 2024 Biennial Bach Competition for Young American Singers. She was recently a fellow with American Bach Soloists (2025), Emmanuel Music Bach Institute (2025), and Tanglewood Music Center (2024). She is a graduate of the Bard Vocal Arts program, where she was mentored by Dawn Upshaw.
