“...The Thirteen sings with striking color and richness...”

— The Washington Post

Led by Artistic Director Matthew Robertson, The Thirteen is a professional choir and orchestra performing full seasons in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Celebrated for reimagining the potential of vocal music, they have performed works ranging from early chant to contemporary world premieres and the centuries in between, gaining a reputation for our “gorgeous unified sound” (Washington Classical Review). Since our founding in 2012, we have added to the robust classical music scene of the DC Metropolitan area, and been hailed by the leading music critics in the country.
